Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

1. Who is responsible for your data
Dash2Wheel decides how and why your personal data is processed for the services described here. Our address and contact details are at the foot of this page. For questions about this policy or to exercise a right, write to info@dash2wheel.com.
2. What we collect
When you enquire or contact us
- Name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in the message.
- Which product you said you were interested in.
When an agency applies for an account
- Business name, contact person, email, phone.
- KYC details you submit for verification, such as GSTIN, PAN or a registration certificate.
- Login credentials — your password is stored only as an Argon2 hash and is never readable by us.
When a cab journey is enquired about or booked
- Passenger name and phone number, pickup and drop locations, dates and times, and any notes you add.
- The fare quoted and the booking or enquiry reference.
- Where a trip is running, location updates shared by the driver’s device for live tracking.
Automatically
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps.
- Analytics events from Google Analytics 4 (see section 5).
We do not collect or store card numbers, CVVs or bank credentials. Where online payment is offered, it is handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway that shares only the transaction outcome with us.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To provide the service — creating accounts, quoting fares, dispatching a vehicle, issuing invoices. Basis: performance of a contract.
- To verify a business — KYC checks before an agency account is approved. Basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
- To respond to you — answering enquiries and support requests. Basis: your consent or our legitimate interest.
- To keep the platform safe — logging, rate limiting, audit trails. Basis: legitimate interest.
- To meet tax and accounting duties — invoices and GST records. Basis: legal obligation.
- To improve the site — aggregate analytics. Basis: consent, where required.
4. Who we share it with
- Fleet operators and drivers — the passenger name, phone number and journey details needed to carry out a trip you booked. Nothing more.
- Travel suppliers — where an agency searches or books flights, hotels or similar, the details needed to complete that transaction.
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics and, in future, a payment gateway. They act on our instructions.
- Authorities — where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address and device information. We use it for aggregate statistics, not to identify you personally.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics does not affect your ability to use the site. Cookies that are strictly necessary — such as the ones that keep you signed in — cannot be switched off without breaking the service.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become customers: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Account and booking records: for the life of the account and then as long as tax and company law requires — in India, generally 8 years for financial records.
- Server logs: a rolling short-term window for security and debugging.
7. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and under the GDPR if you are in the EU/UK — you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- erase your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- restrict or object to a particular use;
- withdraw consent you previously gave.
Signed-in users can export or request erasure of their data from inside the product. Everyone else can email info@dash2wheel.com; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are hashed with Argon2. Access to production data is restricted by role, sessions use short-lived tokens that rotate, and administrative actions are written to an audit log. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep the amount of data we hold to what the service needs.
9. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. A booking made for a minor travelling with an adult is made by that adult.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and tell registered users by email where the change is significant.
